Affidavit Drafting
Correctly worded affidavits for any purpose.
Make the other side take you seriously. An advocate drafts and sends a firm legal notice on your behalf – or replies to one you have received.
A legal notice is a formal written communication sent by a lawyer on behalf of a client, telling the other party about a grievance and the action that will follow if it is not resolved. It is often the first step before going to court and, in many cases, settles the dispute without litigation – a well-drafted legal notice shows you are serious, sets out your case clearly and puts the other side on a deadline.
Every fact and figure in the notice should match your documents, because the notice will be read again by the court if the matter goes further.
The notice is printed on the lawyer's letterhead, signed, and sent by registered post with acknowledgement or speed post, keeping the receipts and tracking record as proof of delivery. It is often also sent by email or WhatsApp; courts have accepted electronic delivery in many situations. We send the notice for you and share the proof of dispatch.
A legal notice does not stop the clock: most money claims must be filed in court within three years, so do not wait too long to send one.
Do not ignore it. A timely, well-drafted reply protects your position, puts your side of the story on record and can prevent litigation. Keep all related documents, avoid admitting anything in informal messages, and share the notice with us – we will draft a response within the deadline.
For cheque bounce matters, see our cheque bounce case service. Disputes with a builder or landlord often start from the agreement – see our rent agreement and sale agreement services, and use an affidavit where a sworn statement is needed. For copying of your content or brand, a notice is often followed by copyright registration or a trademark action.
