FSSAI Registration & Licence
Basic registration, state or central food licence.
Register your business as a micro, small or medium enterprise and unlock subsidies, cheaper credit, delayed-payment protection and tender benefits.
Udyam registration is the official MSME registration of the Government of India, issued through the Udyam portal of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. MSME registration is based on your Aadhaar, PAN and GST data, has no government fee and gives you a permanent Udyam Registration Number and certificate. It is the gateway to collateral-free loans, protection against late payments, subsidies and preferences in government tenders.
Enterprises are classified on the basis of investment in plant and machinery or equipment and annual turnover – both limits must be met:
| Category | Investment up to | Turnover up to |
|---|---|---|
| Micro | ₹2.5 crore | ₹10 crore |
| Small | ₹25 crore | ₹100 crore |
| Medium | ₹125 crore | ₹500 crore |
Exports are left out when turnover is counted, so export-focused businesses can stay in a smaller category. The figures are taken from your income tax return and GST data, and your category is updated automatically as your business grows.
Proprietorships, partnership firms, HUFs, LLPs, companies, co-operatives, trusts and societies engaged in manufacturing or services can register. Retail and wholesale traders can also obtain Udyam registration, mainly for priority sector lending benefits.
Choosing the right activity codes matters: they decide which schemes you qualify for, and banks check them when sanctioning loans.
Udyam registration does not expire, but its details should match reality. Update it when your address, ownership, bank account or activities change. Each enterprise should have only one Udyam registration – multiple units and activities are added to the same registration rather than registered separately. If your business was registered under the old Udyog Aadhaar, it must move to Udyam to keep claiming benefits.
The government portal is free; our fee covers checking your classification and activity codes, filing the registration correctly and sharing the certificate with a short note of the benefits you can claim. If you are not yet registered for GST, see GST registration, and if you are starting a business from scratch, business setup services can help.
