DPT-3 Filing
Took loans from directors or others? DPT-3 filing reports outstanding money received by your company, filed with the ROC by 30 June every year.
Keep your DIN active. DIR-3 KYC filing for directors and designated partners, done on time to avoid a deactivated DIN and the ₹5,000 late fee.
Every individual holding a Director Identification Number (DIN) – company directors and LLP designated partners – must file KYC with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. It confirms your identity, personal mobile number, email and address.
| Route | When it is used |
|---|---|
| e-form DIR-3 KYC | First-time KYC, or when your mobile number, email or address has changed; needs your DSC |
| DIR-3 KYC Web | When your details are unchanged and a previous KYC is on record; OTP-based |
KYC is due by 30 September in the year it falls due, and your details must also be updated whenever they change. We check when yours is due.
The MCA marks the DIN as deactivated, and the director cannot sign or file forms for the company. Filing later attracts a late fee of ₹5,000, after which the DIN is reactivated.
Every individual who holds a DIN – whether currently a director, a designated partner of an LLP, or no longer on any board – must keep their KYC up to date for the DIN to stay active. That includes directors of companies that have been struck off and people whose DIN was allotted but who were never appointed.
We check your details against your PAN and Aadhaar before filing, so the KYC is accepted the first time.
The DIN is a lifetime number linked to you, not to any one company; the same number is used as the DPIN for LLP designated partners. When KYC is not filed, the DIN is marked "Deactivated due to non-filing of DIR-3 KYC". While it is deactivated, you cannot be appointed to a new company and the companies you are on cannot file forms that need your signature. Filing the KYC with the late fee reactivates it.
If you have left all your directorships and do not expect to be a director again, you can apply to surrender the DIN – provided it was never used in any filing, or after following the conditions that apply. Otherwise, keep the KYC current: reactivating a DIN later is more work than keeping it active.
We check your DIN status, file the right form, help with a digital signature certificate if needed and remind you when the next KYC is due. Pair it with annual ROC compliance for the company.
